Rev. Dr. Reginald L. Staten serves as Senior Pastor of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Louisiana. Pastor Staten is a proud native of West Monroe, LA, a product of The New Light Baptist Church of Monroe, Louisiana.

Pastor Staten is a 1993 graduate of West Monroe High School. He earned a Bachelor of Theology Degree (2016), a Master of Theology Degree (2018) and a Doctor of Theology Degree (2019) from Slidell Baptist Seminary in Slidell, Louisiana. Pastor Staten also received both Instructor and Dean Certifications from the Sunday School Publishing Board of the National Baptist Convention, USA, and he currently serves as an Instructor for the Greater Louisiana Baptist Convention and Dean of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Christian Leadership School.

Pastor Staten faithfully served as Pastor of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Farmerville, Louisiana for 16 years. Throughout his tenure, there was an increase in the membership. He established and revitalized numerous ministries, some of which included a Prison Ministry, Christian Education Ministry, Women of Worship Ministry and Men of Purpose Ministry. He also served as the Assistant Director/Dean of Congress of Christian Education of the Gum Spring Missionary Baptist Association, Co-founded and served as the 1st President of the Farmerville Ministerial Alliance.

On September 4, 2016, Pastor Staten was elected and accepted the call to serve as Senior Pastor of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church on Evergreen Road, Jonesboro, LA, following the late pastor Reverend Roosevelt Bryant Jr. Since his tenure, several accomplishments have been made: an increase of the membership, increased attendance in Sunday School and Bible Study; organized the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Christian Leadership School, a certified Christian Leadership School under the auspices of the Sunday School Publishing Board of the National Baptist Convention, USA; established the Roosevelt Bryant, Jr. Memorial Scholarship; the Noon Day Prayer Line, sharing the Good News of the Gospel through technology; and several upgrades to the church.
He is married to the former Rose Mary Mitchell and they have two children, Roosevelt Mitchell, and Tiffany Mitchell-Bradley (Jodie, Sr.) and five grandchildren.
